This is our beautiful chocolate lab, Hubbard. He was born on Halloween, a fitting birthday for this hellion. He is the best-trained and sweetest dog that I have ever had. We forgot to buy him Christmas presents, so perhaps a few belated pig ears and rawhide straps will find him in the next few days.
He is also very gassy, so stay downwind.
Sara and I finally satisfied one of the enduring rituals of adulthood: the purchase of a home. We are now the proud owners of a beautiful home, made attractive, in large part, because Sara chose the furnishings. I defer to her refinement in such manners; a folding chair and paper plates would suffice for me. At any rate, take a look at our picures for a glimpse at our new digs. We will update when the camera recharges.
Sara and I decided to start one so that we could try to keep in touch with our friends and family more frequently. Given our hectic schedules, we will see how long this lasts!! We are currently bemused by the weather patterns of south Texas during the winter: thickly humid days that choke the lungs followed by cool, crisp afternoons. Check back for updates. Leave replies. And if you are anywhere near Fredericksburg, TX be sure to eat at the Alamo Springs Cafe. They have the best damn cheeseburgers around.
