there's something about the wintertime that makes me want to curl up on the couch under one of my mom's afghans with some historical speculative fiction, or perhaps head down to the local french cafe for a double decaf americano and a slice of apple tart while finishing the last thirty pages of the latest in my favorite modern sci fi series (which is up to i think seven or eight entries by now).
i still have Neil Gaiman's American Gods on my coffee table, but that's the bottom of the stack. any suggestions (in a similar vein, please) for my next bookstore shopping trip?
