I haven't been to very many shows in the past year... The Bad Plus at Yoshis, Bettie Serveert at Cafe du Nord, Bill Frisell at Bimbos, Camera Obscura at Bimbos. I've been thinking lately that it's time to get back out there and enjoy live music again. Luckily there are three face stomping metal shows coming up in the next two weeks, all at the Uptown in Oakland, which I have never heard of before and hope is worthy of these excellent bands:

Also, Blue Öyster Cult are playing at Slims next week, but I haven't listened to them seriously in a while, and I really loathe that venue, so I think I'll be passing.
