last night i saw Carmen at the SF Opera, my first opera ever, with friends Derek, Donovan and Jennifer. our seats were at the back of the very top balcony section, and the decline from us to the stage was so great that i sometimes felt an oddly enjoyable sense of vertigo. i was surprised to find that i knew several of the musical pieces, which kept me from nodding off more than a couple of times even though i was extremely tired from my new 5-days-a-week exercise regimen. now i'm getting it on CD so that i can play the Toreador Song at work and piss everyone off.
speaking of exercise, i'm happy to report that i have officially lost 50# in the last three months. rapidly shrinking tuggy!
